The Vapors at The Vapors!

I’m writing to you after a long absence to let you know about a few in-person events I’ll be doing this week.

The first event is very exciting. I’m going to appear in Hot Springs at The Vapors this Thursday night.

That’s right, the actual Vapors.

The Vapors was purchased and remodeled and is now a live performance venue once again, renamed “The Legendary Vapors.” I’m more than excited to have been invited to read from the book and give a talk to open the Hot Springs Book Festival this week. The event is sold out, but there’s a chance you can get in the night of the show if people with reservations don’t show, so show up anyway! There’s going to be live jazz music and food and spirits, and I’ll be signing books after, so it should be a good time. Here’s more information about that event.

On Saturday I’ll be signing books at two fairly-new independent bookstores. At 3pm I’ll be at Two Friends in Bentonville. Information about that event is here. At 6:30pm I’ll be at Pearl’s Books in Fayetteville for a reading and book signing.

In addition to these events I’m also stopping in on the Lotus Book Cub on Friday, a book club that has been meeting continuously since 1890! As always, I’m more than happy to join your bookclub by phone or zoom (or in person if schedule permits!) if your club chooses to read The Vapors. Just send me an email. And thank you to all the book clubs who have already read it. I’ve had such a great time meeting readers around the country through book clubs.
